1. Copyright and usage rightsAll works by Drew Camell are protected by copyright. Upon purchase of a work (original or commissioned), physical ownership is transferred to the buyer. Copyright remains fully with the artist.

  • Private use:The buyer receives the right to private use and exhibition of the work.
  • Commercial use:Any commercial reproduction, digitization (including NFTs) or use for advertising purposes requires express written consent and a separate fee agreement.
  • Attribution:When publishing the work (e.g. in the press, social media or architecture catalogues), the artist must always be credited as the author (© Drew Camell).

2. Integrity of the work and protection against alterationThe work may not be altered, painted over or otherwise manipulated without the prior written consent of the artist (prohibition of distortion pursuant to Section 14 of the German Copyright Act).

  • Restoration:Any necessary restoration or preservation work should be carried out primarily by Drew Camell or by specialists authorized by him.
  • Monumental painting (site-specific works):In the case of ceiling or wall paintings, the owner is obligated to protect the artwork from damage. In the event of planned demolition or structural alterations affecting the artwork, the artist must be informed in a timely manner to allow for documentation or preservation.

3. Transfer of Risk and Liability

  • Handover:The risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer upon delivery of the work (or, in the case of murals, upon completion of the work on site).
  • Liability in case of destruction:In the event of damage to or destruction of the work caused by the buyer or third parties within the buyer's sphere of influence, the artist reserves the right to claim damages in the amount of the current market value.

4. Documentation lawThe artist reserves the right to photograph or film the sold or installed work even after it has been transferred to the buyer, in order to use it for their own portfolio, publications or exhibition purposes.
